T‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‍his assignment will be graded on the content and required three entries (one original post and two posts to other student’s original post) of the discussion participation, adhering to the grading rubric (click the three dots on the upper right-hand side of this page). In order to receive full credit, you must include an APA work cited reference to literature, journals, readings, or personal experience to support comments. Also, when you respond to other postings, make sure you evolve the previous discussion and not just restate the initial post. Remember to address every topic in the discussion, provide a reference, and not be too vague. Prompt Case Study A psychiatric mental health nurse becomes concerned when he finds a Chinese client diagnosed with psychosis and a history of self-injurious behavior rubbing himself with a quarter (he thought he was trying to hurt himself). He took the coin away from the client and he became very upset, grabbed it back from him and continued to rub his arms and legs, leaving dark red scratches. The nurse called for a “show of support” and the staff took the coin away from the client. The client continued being upset, exhibiting verbally aggressive behavior toward the nurse and was placed in seclusion due to the verbally aggressive and self-injurious behavior. Questions: The nurse-manager reviews the documentation related to the seclusion episode. What action should she take to prevent this situation from re-occurring? Discuss the information in this case study related to application of Giger and Davidhizar’s Transcultural Assessment Model and the implications for nursing related to formulating a plan of care for this client. Case Study A Vietnamese girl in her first year at an American elemen‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‍tary school, was not feeling well one morning, so her mother rubbed the back of her neck with a coin. When the girl’s teacher discovered the welts on the girl’s neck, he immediately assumed they were seeing a case of child abuse and reported it to the principal and school nurse. The nurse commented that the behavior of the mother could possibly be related to a “cultural practice”. The teacher insisted that this information be reported to the authorities immediately. The principal advised the nurse to call the authorities. Questions: What immediate action should the school nurse take related to this situation? What responsibility does she have related to promoting cultural competence? In each case the client was practicing a traditional form of healing known as coin rubbing. There are several variations, including heating the coin, but they all involve vigorously rubbing the body with a coin. This produces red welts, which can distract medical staff from the real problem or be mistaken for child abuse. It is important to recognize and become familiar with this practice, and not to be distracted from the real problem or mistakenly make accusations of child abuse. Asians rubbing their children with coins is not any more abuse than Americans having thin pieces of metal wrapped around their children’s teeth and tightened until their teeth move out of place. Braces are usually applied for merely aesthetic reasons. Coin rubbing, at least, is an attempt to heal. Apparently, it often works, only the failures show up in the medical system. FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How soon can I get my paper done?

It depends with your deadline. If you need your paper completed in 3 hours, we will deliver it in that time. All you need to do is indicate your deadline in our custom order page here. Alternatively, if you are sending us your instructions via email, please be sure to indicate your deadline.

Will it be completely original? I don't want to be caught in a case of Academic Integrity Violation.

We are as paranoid as you are. Maybe even more! And we understand that the greatest sin you can commit in your academic journey is plagiarizing your academic work. To that end, we have made sure that we check and double-check our papers using high quality plagiarism detection tools such as SafeAssign and Turnitin before submitting the paper to you.

Who is my writer? Is he/she a native English Speaker?

All our writers are native English Speakers. That is not to say that ESL writers are not good, we just prefer hiring native writers because we want the very best people working on your paper. This might mean paying a little bit more for your paper as opposed to when you pay a foreign company whose writers are non-native English Speakers.

What if I need revisions? Will your charge additional for this?

Of course not! If you do happen to require a revision on your paper, our team will handle it for you free of charge. Matter of fact, we won’t rest till you are happy with your paper. So, ask for as many revisions as you need, it’s completely FREE!

Will you give me my money back if I don't like my paper?

We have very few instances where we delivered a paper that a client didn’t fall in love with. But if it so happens that you don’t like your paper for any reason whatsoever, we’ll refund your money back no questions asked.

I have more assignments after this, can you help me with those too?

Of course! And what’s even better is that we can reserve a writer permanently to work on your entire class. This comes in handy for projects which build up on each other and where you need just one writer, one writing style.

I got my order information wrong, can I change that?

Yes you can. Just reach out to our support team via email (support@essaynook.com) or live chat here and they’ll help you change the instructions.

Can I place an order via email instead of going through the order page?

Yes you can. Email Anna at anna@essaynook.com, she’s in charge of our sales team. Alternatively, you can talk to our Live Chat team here and request to speak to Anna.
