While not currently a part of Proxy Statement disclosure requirements, the SEC recently introduced new disclosure requirements for a firm’s annual report (Form 10-K) and other filings subject to Regulation S-K designed to provide stakeholders additional insight into its “human capital” (HC). Beginning with all filings commencing in January 2021, companies are required to disclose any human capital measures or objectives that the company focuses on in managing its business, such as those related to the development, attraction, safety, engagement, and retention of employees. Did the company report any HC information in its proxy statement? Was it useful? Do you believe that these new HC reporting requirements will have any impact on executive compensation or employee pay? Why or why not? What are your personal take-aways from this assignment?
