My greatest strength in written communication would be that I’m able to sound professional on paper. For example, whenever I have to fill out a job application I always want to make sure that I make myself sound motivated and go the extra mile for the company. My biggest weakness in writing is that I’m not very good with grammar and my vocabulary is not very high. Some actions I think I can take with my weakness in writing is that I should probably start reading a lot more than I have been that way I can have a better understanding of how things are supposed to be written. Academic integrity is important because you want to be honest with yourself there is no point in lying or cheating to get ahead. It is also important because you may have to show those credentials and because you didn’t have integrity and lied on your paperwork you are now labeled as dishonest. For example, when I was in my early twenties I went to apply for a forklift job, and on my application that I knew how to drive a forklift but I didn’t. Long story short I watched some youtube videos on forklift driving and I thought it would be easy. I failed before I even got the forklift started and because I lied on my application I couldn’t even get a lesser paying in the warehouse at all.

My greatest strength would have to be having the patience and ability to proofread what I am sending before I send it. I am a very big grammar/spelling nerd, I like to make everything sound perfect. I always double check my texts, notes, emails and even my speaking multiple times before I send something or before I speak- I hate to sound uneducated. I would have to say my greatest weakness is watching my attitude when I become aggravated or if someone is being rude back to me. It’s quite easy to include attitude in my emails, especially if the recipient already knows my tone of voice. I believe in the saying ‘To receive respect you have to earn it,’ so when someone pushes my buttons in the any setting, I will push theirs back. Another example would be self-sabotage to myself in educational matters. If I become to overwhelmed, I will stop what I am doing and almost give up.
An action I can take to improve these weaknesses is learning to think before I speak or act. I believe that thinking before I speak will help me understand why I react the way I feel I must. I can breathe and decide if the self-sabotage or rudeness to others is worth it.
Academic integrity means honesty and morals to me. Being honest with yourself and everyone around you makes everything 10 times easier than lying or not telling the whole truth. Also having morals means staying true to yourself, don’t cheat yourself to make things easier. Work hard and achieve everything you want and more if you are determined..
