Individual Paper For this individual paper, choose a single aspect of your own life and compare it to another person’s or group of people in your life. Your topic can be based on a holiday, a household chore, how a weekend is spent, etc. Use your imagination! Write a 5-10 page ethnography (bibliography and informed consent does not count toward the minimum) about your chosen subject, including a “research plan” using the steps to conduct your fieldwork from the lecture on research methods, a summary of how you do or celebrate your chosen topic, your observations of how your research participants do the same thing and a discussion/conclusion. If any background research was conducted in the process, please include a bibliography listing the sources you used. You should also include a signed informed consent for anyone you interview or observe at the end of your paper. In this paper include: 1. A description of your “research plan” a. What type of research method did you use (armchair, verandah, participant)? b. How did you select your topic? c. Did you prepare for your research? d. What type of research approach did you use? (deductive, inductive, etic, emic) e. How do you plan to gather your data? (interview, observation, prior research, etc.) f. Do you plan to take field notes? Take pictures? Video tape or audio record? 2. Summary of your own personal experience (some questions may not be applicable to topic) Examples of questions include: a. What traditions have been passed down in your family? Where did they come from? b. From whom did you learn to do your chore? c. Why do you do/practice the way you do? (Passed down, taught, learned, something else?) d. What are your steps for completing your chore? What is the order in which your holiday is celebrated (cook all day, eat first, decorations, multi-day, single day, etc.) 3. Observations of research participant(s) (This section should be purely observational! Any discussion, inferences or comparisons should be included in the next section of your paper) a. What types of questions did you ask? b. Were you able to observe? c. What does the research participant do/how do they act? 4. A discussion and conclusion a. How did you analyze your data? b. What were your findings? How were the two (or more!) practices different? The same? c. Did you feel that the research method you used was successful? d. What might you do differently next time you conduct ethnographical research? e. Were your findings biased? What did you learn from this project? 5. Informed Consent a. This should be a “contract” of sorts between you and your research participant(s). Outline your study/what your goal is in doing this study and include where this information will go. These consent forms should be signed by your participant(s).

Frequently asked questions
How soon can I get my paper done?
It depends with your deadline. If you need your paper completed in 3 hours, we will deliver it in that time. All you need to do is indicate your deadline in our custom order page here. Alternatively, if you are sending us your instructions via email, please be sure to indicate your deadline.
Will it be completely original? I don't want to be caught in a case of Academic Integrity Violation.
We are as paranoid as you are. Maybe even more! And we understand that the greatest sin you can commit in your academic journey is plagiarizing your academic work. To that end, we have made sure that we check and double-check our papers using high quality plagiarism detection tools such as SafeAssign and Turnitin before submitting the paper to you.
Who is my writer? Is he/she a native English Speaker?
All our writers are native English Speakers. That is not to say that ESL writers are not good, we just prefer hiring native writers because we want the very best people working on your paper. This might mean paying a little bit more for your paper as opposed to when you pay a foreign company whose writers are non-native English Speakers.
What if I need revisions? Will your charge additional for this?
Of course not! If you do happen to require a revision on your paper, our team will handle it for you free of charge. Matter of fact, we won’t rest till you are happy with your paper. So, ask for as many revisions as you need, it’s completely FREE!
Will you give me my money back if I don't like my paper?
We have very few instances where we delivered a paper that a client didn’t fall in love with. But if it so happens that you don’t like your paper for any reason whatsoever, we’ll refund your money back no questions asked.
I have more assignments after this, can you help me with those too?
Of course! And what’s even better is that we can reserve a writer permanently to work on your entire class. This comes in handy for projects which build up on each other and where you need just one writer, one writing style.
I got my order information wrong, can I change that?
Yes you can. Just reach out to our support team via email (support@essaynook.com) or live chat here and they’ll help you change the instructions.
Can I place an order via email instead of going through the order page?
Yes you can. Email Anna at anna@essaynook.com, she’s in charge of our sales team. Alternatively, you can talk to our Live Chat team here and request to speak to Anna.
